Note:

Dear Perfect Stranger,

How are you today? I hope you’re doing well and if not, I hope that this note serves as a little pick-me-up during your day :). We all share some wonderful relationships with our friends but we wonder what makes it so special. When we think of our friends, we immediately think of those people who have been constantly present in our lives, those who have been a stellar support to us in happy times and times of crisis. It’s not always easy to define friendship. It isn’t built on a list of expectations like other relationships. Maybe, it is precisely that freedom, unspoken tenderness, amalgamation of faith, trust and support that make it such a sacred bond.

While it is true that no man is an island, its not always possible to forge close relationships with all the people that we meet in life. With some people we share a heart warming bond, with others we don’t. At some point in time, we all make a new friendship where conversation is never a burden and time is not a factor. With each passing day the two people continue to value each other more. This is true friendship. If you’re in need of a friend, know that there are people like me who are always willing to make new ones :).

Sincerely,

Your friendly picker upper

That’s a cute way to look at friendship. I’m glad there are plenty more people like you who are willing to make an effort to be friends. I hope I’m one of them :).
